History: Concorde slashes Atlantic flight time in  1973

On January 21, 1976, the Concorde began its first passenger flights, revolutionizing air travel with supersonic speeds. British Airways and Air France simultaneously launched routes, marking a new era of luxury and speed in aviation. The supersonic jet was first flown in 1969. Commercial service continued until the end of 2003. A total of only 20 aircraft were built.
